The same discipline that makes a good photograph makes good analysis. Ask better questions before you start, and resist the urge to reach conclusions before you've really looked. I started shooting to develop that muscle deliberately, and it's changed how I approach data work too.
I shoot primarily on the streets of New York. My focus right now is light, geometry, and the unintentional compositions a city creates just by existing. I'm growing this practice publicly. Every post is a commitment to ship something, not just collect frames on a hard drive.
